WORCESTER – On Saturday, February 22, from 2-5 PM Annie's Book Stop of Worcester on 65 James Street welcomes Alberto Mercado for a reading, signing, and speaking engagement to celebrate the release of his sixth book, Winds of Fall.
Mercado is a native of Puerto Rico who moved to Massachusetts in 1985. Over the years, he turned his hobby of photography into a freelance career. During an exhibition, he wrote up a five-page autobiography that moved a reader to suggest he do more writing. Mercado took this suggestion to heart and began writing a number of books across a variety of genres. His most recent, Winds of Fall, is a contemporary tale of two old friends, Rebecca and Cecile, reunited after many years. However, faced with seeing the abuse of her friend and daughter, Rebecca must make a difficult decision to save them—and reveal her own secret that's been tormenting her all her life.
