Come join the Dudley Grange and the Dudley Conservation Land Trust for the first ever ‘DUDLEY DIRT DAY’, to be held from 10 AM to noon on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the Dudley Grange at 121 Center Rd. in Dudley.  Dr. Stephen Hebert, Professor of Agronomy, University of Massachusetts Stockbridge School of Agriculture, will discuss the topography and general soil make up of our local area.   He will also present how to maintain healthy soil for people interested in vegetable gardening, flower gardening, home landscaping and maintaining sustainable lawns. Dr. Hebert’s focus will be on how to maintain the best soil to meet individual needs. This event is FREE sponsored by a grant from the Massachusetts State Grange. Free soil tests will be conducted on site, so people are asked to bring small soil samples for that purpose.  Coupons for more in depth mail-order soil analysis will be awarded as door prizes.  Refreshments will be served and there will be time for questions and answers with Dr. Herbert. Join us for the first ever DUDLEY DIRT DAY!!
