Grafton, July 16, 2018 . . . Apple Tree Arts announces the appointment of Alaina Calloway Bolton as education director. The nonprofit community school of the arts provides music and theatre arts programs to more than 1,500 students of all ages in Central Massachusetts.
Ms. Calloway Bolton will oversee private instrumental and voice lessons, ensembles and the onsite early childhood program. She will be responsible for developing and implementing new programs as well as inspiring the onsite teaching faculty. During the past year and half, Ms. Calloway Bolton taught piano and voice lessons, early childhood music classes and Young Voices, an ensemble program she created. This summer she is teaching several music programs she developed.
Ms. Calloway Bolton has many years’ experience teaching private voice and piano lessons to children and adults of all levels. Her background includes preparing students for adjudicated events, college auditions, and recitals. She graduated from the New England Conservatory of Music with a Bachelor of Music and holds a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the Longy School of Music. A mezzo-soprano, Ms. Calloway Bolton often performs at a variety of venues.
Jan Barlow will focus her talents and efforts on teaching early childhood music and Keyboard Magic classes. Ms. Barlow’s administrative tasks will be handled by Ms. Calloway Bolton
Apple Tree Arts is a nonprofit 501 (c) 3 organization that has grown to serve over 1,500 children and adults annually with early childhood music classes, group keyboard lessons, private music and voice instruction, ensembles and theatre arts programs.
