Armenian Puppet Show to share culture and benefit local food pantry

Soorp Asdvadzadzin Armenian Apostolic Church Ladies Guild and Alternatives Club 21 - South Worcester County invites people of all ages to the Alternatives Singh Performance Center 60 Douglas Rd, Whitinsville, MA, as we travel back in time: Puppeteer Dora Kalajian Tevan will present: "Armenian Village Child Life 1900" on Sunday, December 17, 2017—with a snow date of Sunday, January 28, 2018.  Come for fellowship in the theater lobby from 12:30-1:15. Theater door opens at 1:15pm, and show time is 1:30pm.  

Re-live and take part in 24-hours of everyday life in the village of Kharpert, Western Armenia. Enjoy an afternoon as you learn about Armenian heritage. Show is performed in English with key words presented in Armenian. Here’s a sampling: Sing OROR lullaby with Mayreeg; harvest the grain and drama chant Hingala; help babies who have cut their first tooth with career choice in the Agra Hadid ritual (a few babies needed).
