Did you ever wonder what it was like to interview celebrities? Come and meet G. Michael Dobbs as he releases his book on just that.
G. Michael Dobbs of Springfield, MA has spoken with hundreds of celebrities from television to music to theatre, and he’s bringing that experience to everyone with his latest book Fifteen Minutes With: Forty Years of Interviews. On Saturday, November 15th, Dobbs will be stopping at Annie’s Book Stop of Worcester on 65 James Street from 2-4 PM for a signing and speaking engagement. Dobbs will discuss the work and experience that went into this latest book, which includes information on how to conduct an effective interview in a short time—as well as giving readers a taste of what it’s like to speak with people like Vincent Price, Maureen O’Hara, Rick Moranis, George Romero, Anne Rice, “Weird Al” Yankovic, Don McLean, Rachel Maddow, Joan Rivers, and many, many more.
He has written two other books, Escape! How Animation Went Mainstream in the 1990s and Springfield: A Postcard History. He joined Reminder Publications Inc. as the editor of the Chicopee Herald in 1999 and is now the managing editor of the company’s five publications, which reach about 122,000 readers in western Massachusetts.
He lives in Springfield with his wife Mary, way too many cats, and a very disobedient dog.
