Blackstone Valley Bluegrass Band

Saturday, September 27, 2014 - 7:30pm

First Congregational Church of Oxford

With Dave Dick on banjo, his brother Bob Dick on guitar, Dan Nowlan on mandolin and Ken Taylor on upright bass, this original lineup has been together for 15 years - rare for bluegrass bands these days. Over the years this seasoned group has built up a solid and ever expanding repertoire to go along with an engaging stage performance; these guys can really mix things up musically and entertain an audience! They're all multi-instrumentalists and play a wide range of bluegrass styles... but what really sets them apart are their powerful three and four part harmonies.  Come check out Blackstone Valley Bluegrass to hear some great bluegrass music, smooth harmonies, fast but tasteful pickin', and most importantly, to have a great time! Bring the whole family! Tickets $15 at the door; $12 in advance children under 12 free. Doors open at 6:45 PM with strawberry shortcake and other goodies available to purchase before the show and during intermission. Show begins at 7:30 p.m. The First Congregational Church is located at 355 Main Street (Route 12) in Oxford, across from the bandstand, and is wheelchair accessible. There is ample on-street parking.  Call the church office at 508.987.2211 for more information.
