The first-ever Blackstone Valley Restaurant week will begin June 3 and continues through the 15th.
Patterned after the popular Worcester Restaurant Week, the idea is to encourage diners to try new restaurants outside their usual destinations and sample a variety of food at a special price.
Participating restaurants in Grafton are Hunter’s Grille & Tap, Grafton Grill, and John Henry Tavern at Highfields Golf Club; In Sutton, Blackstone National and Brickstone Kitchen; in Uxbridge, Gia Ristorante Italiano and The UxLocale; in Mendon, Galliford’s Restaurant & Tavern and The Greenhouse Wood Fired Pub.
Other area restaurants that will participate include Samuel Slater’s Restaurant in Webster, Legends Sports Bar at the Doubletree Hotel in Milford, Calabria Ristorante in Millbury, and Hopedale Country Club Restaurant in Hopedale.
Each restaurant will offer a three-course meal for $25.19.
Sponsors for Blackstone Valley Restaurant Week are the Blackstone Valley Chamber of Commerce, East Douglas Insurance Agency, and Pepsi Worcester.
Organizer is Paul Giorgio of Pagio, Inc., who also manages the Worcester events, Source of the idea was Tom Merolli, chair of Mendon’s Economic Development Committee.
