Debi Kennedy brings A Touch of Magick to Uxbridge

By Magda Dakin

There’s a touch of Magick in the air when you step over the sparkled front-door step into the newest consignment shop in the Uxbridge area. Opening less than two months ago, Debi and her staff have already doubled their space to make room for all the magick-producing that Debi Kennedy, owner of the shop, has in mind.

Just like any good consignment shop, A Touch of Magick has racks of newly arriving clothes, shoes, bags, hats, jewelry and more in sizes ranging from petite to XXL and styles from wedding finery to casual beach side lounging. Proprietor Debi says customers have been coming in with items to consign and checking out the new girl in town. “Customers say they like being able to come in to downtown Uxbridge and have choices when they are on a hunt for that special item.”

In addition to the clothes and shoes Debi’s love of “puttering around” with furniture has spilled into the store and you will see some of her lovely offerings in much of the second main room of the shop. Furniture, vintage items, clever signs, curtains, table covers, lamps, wall decor and paintings are just some of the items currently in the showroom.

The something magical in the shop appears in the displays of fairies, mermaids, dragons, candles, sparkles, herbs, teas, spell bundles, semi-precious stones, handmade guitar string bracelets, incense, enchanted books and many other exciting items recently acquired from the now-closed shop, Some Enchanted Evening in Spencer.

Located at 2 South Main St, Uxbridge, within sight of the Common, the shop is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursday until 7 p.m. Debi says she’s planning special events for Thursday nights, such as readings, painting demos, seasonal events, and other fun things. There’s plenty of parking on the street and in the lot across the street.
