Yoga, a bonfire, the Douglas Farmers Market and the summer concert series are all in the line-up of events at the Douglas Orchard & Farm this summer.
Yoga is coming to the farm on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. and Sunday mornings at 8 a.m. The outdoor classes will be given by registered yoga instructor Sharley Hillgardner-RYT200. $10 per class; rain or shine, no need to pre-register.
A bonfire fundraiser to benefit the Simon Fairfield Public Library in Douglas will be held on Friday, May 24, at 7:30 p.m. A donation of $5 for adults and $2 for kids 12 and younger is requested. Sit by the fire, listen to music, and have some ice cream. Rain date is May 25.
The Douglas Farmers Market will now be held at the farm instead of downtown Douglas. It’s every Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon, June 15 through September 28. The site provides ample parking, handicap bathrooms, farm animals to visit, a picnic area, and music.
Douglas Orchard & Farm will again host a Saturday night summer concert series, weekly, beginning June 15, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. On the schedule for June 15 is the classic rock South Street Band.
Douglas Orchard & Farm is located at 36 Locust Street in Douglas. Visit their Facebook page for all event listings.
