A Feast of Four Films, #1

Wednesday, January 11, 2017 - 1:30pm

The Second Annual Winter Film Festival, "A Feast of Four Films", begins at the Joshua Hyde Library in Sturbridge on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. with Enchanted April as the first of four

Each movie is chosen to help everyone escape the winter snow and cold with an afternoon of adventure set in a beautiful and exotic international location.  The refreshments are themed to match each movie and provide a time of community and discussion before and after the films are shown.

Enchanted April is based on the book by  Elizabeth von Arnim The film begins in London, the 1920s. Lottie and Rose are two married women who share the misery of empty marriages and decide to rent an Italian castle for the spring to get away. In order to save money, they advertise for two other women to join them. They all travel to San Salvatore to a seaside Italian castle drenched in wisteria and sunshine. Here their lives change.
