Food aficionados everywhere crave a beautiful, functional kitchen space to work in. It all seems to come together better when everything is in place and the kitchen is set up just the way you like it. Wendy Beltramini of Fontana Kitchens gets to make that dream come true for many residents in the Blackstone Valley. Located in downtown Mendon just across from the Town Hall and next to Country Bumpkin, Fontana Kitchens has provided area homes with their creative design and installation for more than 30 years.
As a third-generation cabinet maker Ms. Beltramini is familiar with all aspects of cabinetry. “I’ve been involved in cabinet building my whole life, starting in the family business with my dad for seven years and then branching out on my own when family dynamics demanded it. Even though I’m a licensed building contractor, my passion revolves around kitchens and bathrooms. Since I’m licensed we are able to do all aspect of kitchen building and remodeling from floors and ceilings to plumbing and counter tops. We can handle all aspects of the projects without having to outsource.”
Ms. Beltramini’s owns two businesses: Fontana Kitchens and Belle Contracting. Fontana Kitchens primarily designs, builds, and installs high quality, competitively priced kitchens and bathrooms, while the Belle Contracting division handles the bigger builds and complete homes.
Both companies are certified Women’s Business Enterprises, wholly-owned and operated by a woman. “I find that being a woman in what might be mainly a man’s business gives me a decided advantage. I can use my creative skills and practical designs to make a kitchen that matches perfectly with the needs of the owner. I know how to put a kitchen together that makes sense for efficiency while also satisfying the need for beauty.”
Ms. Beltramini continued, “I enjoy helping customers create their dream kitchens and homes, but in order to stay solvent in leaner times in recent years we branched out to include doing kitchen counters, cabinets and bathroom remodeling for HUD, DHCS and other state and locally funded housing authorities. I’m happy to be a part of offering these quality kitchens to the community. My WBE certifications gave me an edge in competing with other vendors for the local housing business, but my excellent service and attention to detail keeps them coming back for more.”
Fontana Kitchens provides a personal touch, custom designing, customer service, guaranteed results, follow up service. “We stand behind all the work we do. It’s not done until the customer is happy.” Kitchen trends change, she said, and “we keep up with the newer innovations and products. Currently the trend in kitchen cabinets are painted in the grey and white tones and we can add custom touches to make it unique. The newer homes are built with higher nine-foot ceilings that are more challenging to work with, but we have solutions.”
Ms. Beltramini welcomed her son, Vinnie, into the business five years ago, continuing the family tradition of cabinetry design and building into the fourth generation.
Fontana Kitchens has a high referral and repeat business background and does most business by appointment. 508 478-8885 cell 508 291-7616.
