On Saturday, April 12, 2014 from 7:00 to 9:00pm, the Grafton History in
Bloom Gala Preview will take place with wine tasting and hors d'oeuvres at
the Grafton Historical Society Museum, 1 Grafton Common, Grafton, MA 01519 .
For this event, members of the Grafton Garden Club and the Grafton
Historical Society will design floral arrangements to interpret selected
historic artifacts provided by the Grafton Historical Society from the
Grafton Historical Society Museum which houses an extensive permanent
collection representing all aspects of Grafton's rich history from the
Colonial era forward. Museum items that will be interpreted through floral
arrangement include Mrs. Warren's wedding dress, antique baby carriage, Mrs.
Goddard?s china, Peppermint Patty's dress, antique board game, lacy
graduation dress, and even a vintage Maytag Motor! You need to see it to
believe how the talented participants are going to create floral designs
that interpret the chosen historical artifacts. Stroll through the museum
and admire its expanded collection of fascinating Grafton memorabilia while
enjoying the floral arrangements. Enjoy a fine selection of wines generously
provided by Bruce Chalupka of Grafton Liquors, Inc., and snack on hors
d'oeuvres provided by Stop and Shop. Donation: $5 for members (Grafton
Historical Society and Grafton Garden Club), $10 for non-members.
