Celebrate a Successful Season of Growing Fresh Produce for Local Hunger Relief

North Grafton, MA - On Sunday, November 2nd, 2014, Community Harvest Project will hold its annual celebration event, Harvest Home Festival & 5K. The 5K begins at 10:30am, with registration at 9:00am, and the festival is 12:00-4:00pm. The event will be held at the Brigham Hill Community Farm at 37 Wheeler Road in North Grafton, MA. All are welcome! The event will feature fun, family-friendly activities including:

  • 5K Trail Run and 1 Mile Walk
  • Farm Tour Hay Rides
  • Pony Rides
  • One-of-a-Kind Apple Cannons
  • Pumpkin Catapult Competition
  • Crafts and Games for Kids
  • Farm Equipment Display
  • Civil War Encampment
  • Moon Bounces
  • Face Painting
  • Balloon Animals by Bobo the Clown
  • Chainsaw Art
  • Alpacas
  • Live Music
  • Delicious Seasonal Food Favorites & Bake Sale

Admission is $5 at the gate, and kids under 12 are free, with a cap of $20 per family. Note that food and some activities are extra. All proceeds will benefit Community Harvest Project and support donations of fresh fruits and vegetables for hunger relief efforts in Worcester County. Kristin Bafaro, Executive Director of Community Harvest Project, says, "This is a wonderful opportunity for us to welcome the community to the farm to celebrate the harvest and raise awareness of our mission to grow fresh fruits and vegetables for hunger relief. Together, we can be part of the healthy solution to hunger!"
