Historical Society to Host Manufacturing Day

The Grafton Historical Society will host Manufacturing Day on Saturday, October 4 from 11-1 at the society's museum in the Old Town House.

The program will feature U.S. Ranger Chuck Arning who will do a presentation at 11:00 on "Manufacturing in the Blackstone River Valley."

The museum will also unveil a new exhibition, " Manufacturing in Grafton." It will highlight the rich history of the town in manufacturing, from the early shoe industries and textile mills to the more modern abrasives and metal fabrication industries. The Grafton Historical Society is an all-volunteer, private, non-profit organization, committed to preserving the history of Grafton. The society operates a local history museum on the lower level of One Grafton Common (the Old Town House).
