That’s the topic Jeannie Hebert will address at the upcoming Annual Meeting of the Webster Dudley Chamber of Commerce. Ms. Hebert is the president and CEO of the neighboring Blackstone Valley Chamber of Commerce.
All businesses, and especially those located in Webster, Dudley, and Charlton, are invited to explore that topic on Tuesday, January 29, from 5 – 7:30 p.m. at the Indian Ranch function hall, 200 Gore Road in Webster.
Guest speaker Hebert will explore the culture of today’s Chamber of Commerce. When a Chamber can identify what they truly bring to the community, and can communicate that out, they become more than just relevant...they become VITAL!
The Webster Dudley Oxford Chamber of Commerce begins this year with a new focus on engagement with and support of local businesses. It is now an independent organization, though it remains an affiliate of the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce, giving WDO members all the benefits of the regional association.
“We made this change to better serve our members,” said Dennis Luukko, president of the WDO Chamber. ‘We’ve hired a director who will focus solely on our towns and local businesses. He will manage our marketing and operations.” The administrative offices have been moved to 131 Main Street, Webster.
“We hope to increase our membership and work with local entities to support and promote all aspects of the business community, said Mr. Luukko.
The business aspect of the annual meeting will include the past year in review and election of board members for the upcoming year.
Raffles and door prizes include a gift card tree, 50/50, and a free WDO Chamber membership for a current member and a non-member.
Networking and cocktail hour with hors d’oeuvres will be from 5 – 6 p.m. Cash bar.
Member fee is $25; nonmembers and at the door $30. To register, go to the website: ww.wdochamberma.com, or call John Milas at 508-943-9700. You can also email [email protected].
