Mendon’s Economic Development Committee is planning two events next month to help the town’s small business community.
First up is an “Open for Business” breakfast being held at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, October 3, in Mendon Town Hall, located at 20 Main Street. Tom Merolli, chairman of the Economic Development Committee, says various state agencies will have representatives on hand to help provide small businesses with resources or to answer their questions. The breakfast is free to any small business owner in Mendon.
The next event is “Restaurant Week.” From Sunday, October 21, through Saturday, October 27, the focus will be on restaurants in Mendon. While Merolli says the final details are still being worked out, the plans include highlighting certain dishes and holding a chef’s competition.
The town’s restaurants include Alicante Restaurant & Lounge, New England Steak & Seafood, the Miss Mendon Diner, Willow Brook Restaurant, the Greenhouse Wood Fired Grill, Galliford’s Restaurant & Tavern and Lowell’s Restaurant. Other eating spots include George’s Surf & Turf, Dunkin’ Donuts, The Muffin House, Larry Joe’s New England Fire Pit, Hide-a-Way Pizza, Deluxe House of Pizza and Nona’s Pizza.
