October “Think Pink” campaign benefits The Cancer Center at Harrington

Southbridge/Dudley, Mass. – Sturbridge Coffee Roasters (SCR) will donate $1 for each pound of freshly roasted coffee purchased to The Cancer Center at Harrington Hospital during the month of October in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. To commemorate our “Think Pink” campaign, coffee is being sold in special pink bags to further raise awareness. The campaign is running at both of Sturbridge Coffee Roasters’ shops in Southbridge and Dudley location.

The campaign is part of Sturbridge Coffee Roaster’s on-going business plan to give back to the community. Each month, owner Elvis Dyer and his wife Karen choose a charity to donate to on behalf of their business.

In addition to supporting the Cancer Center at Harrington, Sturbridge Coffee Roasters also offers a 10% discount year round to all Harrington Healthcare employees year round when they present their ID badge. Approximately 10 years ago, Harrington saved Sturbridge Coffee Roasters owner Elvis Dyer’s life when he received critical, emergency surgery. He has been a patient for the past 15+ years. One of Sturbridge Coffee Roasters employees previously received chemotherapy treatment for non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL) at The Cancer Center at Harrington.

“Harrington has always been really good to me, my loved ones and my friends, and I try and do what I can to return that favor,” said Elvis Dyer.
