Oxford’s Annual Fall Festival will be held Saturday, September 20th, 2014, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. rain or shine. It will take place in beautiful downtown Oxford on Rte. 12 at Joslin Park where the bandstand is located. This will be the 5th year for the Oxford Lions Club to host the family friendly event. This is an event not to be missed as we will have numerous delicious food booths, original crafters, exhibit booths and music all day by DJ Derek Moison for your total family enjoyment.
There will be performances that include local talent such as: Spirit Central Cheer Group, Starz Dance Studio, Mello’s Martial Arts and singer Sunny Bates. In our kid’s area look for Clowning Around with Lisa for face painting and balloon animals, Magic Show by Mr. Magic (Larry Parker), pumpkin decorating administrated by the local Girl Scouts and a children’s workshop sponsored by Home Depot. In addition to those performers the children may enjoy our bounce house, sack races, limbo games and musical chairs.
Our Main event this year will certainly get you “All Shook Up” with our feature performer Robert Black as The King: Elvis Presley. Elvis will be live on the bandstand from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. You don’t want to miss this act for certain.
For all of the young children interested in meeting two very special princesses, Elsa and Anna from the hit movie Frozen will be here at the Fall Festival. They will be available from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Every family with young children will certainly enjoy meeting these lovable characters; this is a very rare and special opportunity. We welcome all the little ones interested in dressing up as their favorite princess to be part of the fun. Be sure to take a lot of pictures.
For those parents interested in acquiring a set of Elsa and Anna dolls, there will also be a raffle that day. We only have one set of dolls, and the proceeds from the raffle will benefit the many charities and community functions supported by the Oxford LIONS Club.
We still have spaces available for vendors or food booths. For applications please contact Lions Connie and or Joe Tagg at 508-987-5987. You may reach Sharon Dimopoulos at 508-499-1870 for information on the entertainment for the day.
Come Early, Stay Late!! Enjoy this annual family friendly event hosted by the Oxford Lions Club.
