Pet First Aid Training

Webster/Blackstone Valley- Would you like to reduce your trips to the veterinary? Want to know how to help your pet in an emergency? The Central mass Disaster Animal Response Team, Inc (www.cmdart.org) is hosting a Pet First Aid training, Sunday, February 16 at the Webster Fire Dept, 55 Thompson Rd, Webster from 1-5:30.  The course will cover Snout to Tail assessment, proper restraining of an animal in distress, CPR, rescue breathing choking management pet vital signs, insect bites/stings, heat and cold injuries, making a pet First Aid kit and more.

The cost of the course is $65.00 per person which includes take home materials (20.00 value) of the Pet FA book, attendance certificates, emergency muzzle and stop bleeding kit.  As well as giving you helpful instruction, the course will assist the animal disaster team with fund-raising for our trailer equipment.

The course instructor is from Pet Tech, a nationally known and respected program for PFA. Honor Blume, the instructor is from Sheffield Mass and has been teaching the course for six years.

Box 1317, Douglas, ma 01516 at least two days prior to the event.  PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT THE FIRE DEPARTMENT ABOUT THIS COURSE . Attendants should park on the north side of the fire station in order to not obstruct fire department business.
