Price Chopper Webster’s Store Manager Tom Sullivan announced recently that for the entire month of August all customers will be encouraged to support our local United Way. “In the past we have asked customers to donate $1 at the register. This year we’re switching it up and we will do a “round up your change campaign” he said. “We’re proud to support such a wonderful organization that focuses on the needs of local residents who represent our customer base. I hope our customers will embrace this initiative and join us by supporting United Way.”
United Way of Webster Dudley Executive Director Janet Scheffler, met with Mr. Sullivan to discuss the program and to express her thanks to Price Chopper for their ongoing support. “Our United Way truly appreciates the efforts Price Chopper makes to engage their customers on our behalf. All money raised through the “round up your change campaign” will remain in our community helping us help others.”
Vital services such as food, fuel and rent assistance, domestic violence intervention, mentoring programs for our youth, school based dental care, adult literacy programs, “meals on wheels “for seniors, nursing care, and court advocates for abused and neglected children are just a sample of the services available through the fifteen funded agencies working in partnership with our local United Way.
“Please take advantage of this opportunity to “give a little” and impact a lot” said Scheffler
