Tri-Valley’s very first Health & Wellness Fair

A free event for older adults and caregivers

Tri-Valley, Inc. will host its first ever Health & Wellness Fair at their Dudley offices on Thursday, May 31, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

“A number of our staff have been discussing this over the past year or so,” says Lisa Price, Tri-Valley’s executive director. “One of our missions is to perform outreach to the communities we serve, and we attend of lot of health fairs in the area, but our clients have asked if we could do it in our offices too.”

The fair is designed for older adults and caregivers and will feature 13 different vendors in addition to staff that will talk about the programs Tri-Valley offers.

“We picked the vendors to showcase different aspects of elder care,” said Ms. Prince. They include AAA, AARP, CapTel Captioning Phone, Central Mass Recovery Learning Center, Dudley Fire Department, Dudley Police Department, the Dudley Veterans Agent, Holden Hearing Aid Center, Page Chiropractic, Senior Medicate Patrol, SHINE, St. Camillus Health Center and Adult Day Health, and Walgreens Pharmacy.

Tri-Valley staff will be on hand to talk about the agency’s programs and services, which include the areas of benefits enrollment, options counseling, Alzheimer’s network, personal care attendant, adult family care, state home care, caregiver support, and healthy aging.  

In addition, four 30-minute seminars are scheduled as follows: 10 a.m. Dudley Police; 10:30 a.m. Dudley Fire; 11:00 a.m. nutrition education program; 10:30 a.m. a matter of balance.

The Health & Wellness Fair will also feature raffles every half hour, free beverages and snacks.

Tri-Valley Inc. offices are at 10 Mill Street in Dudley. Parking is available. For more information, call 508-949-6640. Informational flyers will be distributed to all Meals on Wheels recipients.
