Whitinsville Christian School (WCS) has named Scott Anderson as their new Director of Advancement. He will be responsible for alumni and donor relations, fundraising, and promotion for the school.
Scott comes to WCS after three years as Director of Development at Holy Name Central
Catholic Junior/Senior High School in Worcester. “I am delighted to welcome Scott to our community. He has considerable experience in admissions and sales. He is experienced as a development professional who has been consistently recognized as a person of integrity and for his positive contributions,” said Lance Engbers, Whitinsville Christian School’s Headmaster. While at Holy Name, Scott successfully scoped, developed, and led a number of fundraising initiatives including a new Life Sciences Biotech Learning Center, and an extensive renovation and update to the Performing Arts Center. In addition, Scott oversaw the Admissions Department at Holy Name, resulting in the stabilization and growth of a previously declining enrollment at the school.
"I am thrilled and honored to be part of the outstanding team at Whitinsville Christian School,” said Scott. “I look forward to working with the staff, families, students, and community to promote the school’s vision and to further advance the ongoing success of this premier academic institution." Scott’s career also includes thirty-three years in consultative selling in the marketing communications field, as well as sixteen years as a high school football coach. When not partaking in the ministry of fundraising, Scott spends a lot of his time “chasing that elusive sense of satisfaction” with his golf game. He is a Servant Leader at the First Congregational Church in Boylston, MA, where he also provides oversight to the Board of Trustees. Scott and his wife, Maureen, reside in Holden, MA.
