Touchstone Community School Trip
The Older Student Program (OSP) at Touchstone Community School recently returned from a three day trip to the White Mountains. While there, the group hiked to the top of Black Cap on Hurricane Mountain, to the bowl at Tuckerman’s Ravine on Mount Washington, and to Diana’s Bath in North Conway. Each evening they participated in programming that included sharing identity poems that they had written at school, having campfires, star gazing, participating in a talent show, and playing flashlight tag. The trip was a beautiful way to come together as a community. The weather could not have been more perfect for the trip and the students embodied their class values of perseverance, integrity, creativity, humor and Freedom. The group is looking forward to another trip in the spring.
The OSP, at Touchstone Community School in Grafton, MA, is a middle school program for students ages twelve to fourteen.
