Nancy Drew Presentation

Come learn about the history of the beloved sleuth Nancy Drew! At this presentation, you will learn about the many different editions that have been printed since the Nancy Drew series was first published in the 1930s, as well as surprising facts about the series.
The presenter, Alicia Mello, is a passionate collector and expert on Nancy Drew.
Bring your Nancy Drew books and your memories to share with the group. Mello will be able to tell you about your book and also its potential value. She has been collecting Nancy Drew books and other items for 20 years and loves to talk about the history of Nancy Drew! She will bring some interesting pieces from her collection. All welcome, and all ages are welcome.

The Basics of Bee Keeping

Join local beekeeper and Worcester County Beekeeping Association member John Hedly for a presentation about the basics of beekeeping.
Presentation will include topics such as starting a beehive, the honey bee colony, chores inside and outside of the hive, collecting honey, the importance of pollination, and more!
John graduated from the Worcester County Beekeepers Association (WCBA) bee school in 2009 and has been a Beekeeper for 15 years. Nominated for Beekeeper of the Year two times by the WCBA, John continues to mentor new beekeepers and share his expertise with many organizations throughout Massachusetts. He is currently a two-term member of the WCBA Board of Directors.
