All programs and events, unless otherwise noted, require signing up in our main office to secure a spot. Light refreshments will likely be served at all events unless it is a lunch and learn program or a special event with a themed luncheon. If you have signed up for a program or have purchased a ticket for a special event and are unable to attend, please call and let us know, so that we may offer your spot to someone else on the waiting list for our programs. If it is a ticketed event, please return the ticket to the front office.

The Honeybee and its Relation to Man: A Presentation by Ken Warchol
Wednesday, September 25,  9:30-10:30 a.m.
Ken Warchol is a 6th generation beekeeper and a life-long resident of Northbridge. He has kept honeybees since 1955. He was a social studies teacher in the Northbridge Schools from 1974-2009, past president and current member of the Worcester County Bee Club, and worked as a state bee inspector during the summer months checking bee hives all over the state. Ken also was the beekeeper who ran the 40 beehives for the USDA bee research study from 2008-2012 and was part of the Harvard University study on why the honeybees are dying. Ken will be here to talk about honeybees and the hobby of beekeeping with a visual presentation. He will also bring a few kinds of honey for tasting!
“Has Anyone Seen $25 Million in Art Lying Around Boston?”
Thursday, September 26, 10-11a.m.
In 1990, two men dressed as Boston police officers entered the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, stayed for about 90 minutes, and left with 13 pieces of art. Not any of the priceless items have been found. Numerous suspects have been named over the years, but no one has been arrested and many are now dead. Bob Ainsworth, the author of “Duped,” a fictional account of the robbery, will review the actual details of the the suspects, and the motives behind the world’s most valued art theft. He will also tell of his own brush with the infamous crime.
